STATION 4 OF 8 · 80 M
BURPEE BROAD JUMPS
Burpee broad jumps cover 80 m using bodyweight only, so the challenge is rhythm and endurance, not load. Each rep combines a burpee with a forward jump.
TECHNIQUE
- Find a steady rhythm and keep it; smooth and consistent beats fast and ragged.
- Jump forward for distance instead of up, so fewer reps cover the 80 m.
- Keep each rep within the movement standard so none is called back.
- Use your breathing as a metronome and avoid sprinting the first few reps.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Short jumps that add reps.
- Starting too quickly and fading halfway.
- Sloppy burpees that risk a no-rep.
HOW TO TRAIN IT
- Sets of burpee broad jumps over 20–40 m at a steady rhythm.
- Burpee practice for efficiency of movement.
- Run 1 km, then burpee broad jumps, to rehearse the effect of fatigue.
