TECHNIQUE
- Brace with your legs and hips, and pull hand over hand in a steady rhythm.
- Lean back slightly and keep your chest up so the legs share the load.
- Keep tension on the rope so the sled does not stall between pulls.
- Look ahead and keep your grip relaxed enough to last the full distance.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Pulling with the arms alone and burning out the forearms.
- Letting the rope go slack so the sled stops.
- Rushing and losing rhythm.
HOW TO TRAIN IT
- Rope pulls with a light sled to build the hand-over-hand pattern.
- Rows and pull variations for the back and grip.
- Push then pull in one session to rehearse the race order.
