STATION 2 OF 8 · 50 M
SLED PUSH
The sled push is the first heavy station: 50 m of driving a loaded sled with your legs. It rewards leg strength, a low body position and keeping the sled moving.

TECHNIQUE
- Keep a low, forward-leaning body angle with your arms braced against the sled.
- Drive through the legs with short, quick steps rather than long lunges.
- Keep the sled moving; restarting from a standstill costs far more effort than steady motion.
- Breathe out on the drive and stay calm if your legs burn.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Standing too upright, which turns the push into an arm exercise.
- Stopping partway and having to restart a heavy sled.
- Taking long steps that lose drive.
HOW TO TRAIN IT
- Heavy short pushes, with full rest, to learn the body position.
- Lighter, longer pushes after a run to practise on tired legs.
- Leg strength work such as squats and lunges, scaled to you.
