Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is Abdallah Mekky, operating as an independent SEO & AI Search specialist. For any data-related enquiries, contact me directly at hello@abdullahmekky.me.
What data I collect
When you use the contact form or book a discovery call, I collect your name, email address, and any information you voluntarily provide in your message.
When you visit this site, standard server logs and analytics tools collect your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is anonymised where possible.
I do not collect payment card data directly. Payments are handled by third-party processors (see Payment Terms).
Why I collect it
Contact data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to manage the engagement.
Analytics data is used to understand how people find and use this site, so I can improve it. Nothing more.
I do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Full stop.
How long I keep it
Enquiry data is retained for up to 12 months after the last contact, or for the duration of a client engagement plus 3 years for legal/accounting purposes.
Analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymised form indefinitely.
You can request deletion at any time (see your rights below).
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion ("right to be forgotten"), object to processing, and request a copy in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@abdullahmekky.me. I'll respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
Third-party services
This site may use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies: Google Analytics (anonymised), Calendly or similar scheduling tool, and email delivery providers.
I choose tools with strong privacy postures and configure them to minimise data collection where possible.
Changes to this policy
If I make material changes to this policy, I'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes that affect existing clients, I'll notify you directly by email.
