Shopify SEO
Stop paying for every click. Build organic traffic that compounds.
What's included
Most Shopify stores are technically broken for SEO out of the box — and Shopify's own limitations make it worse. Duplicate content from product variants, canonicalisation issues between collections and products, theme JavaScript that slows down Core Web Vitals, missing structured data for products and reviews. I know exactly where Shopify SEO breaks and how to fix it.
Paid ads are a tap — turn off the budget and the traffic stops. Organic SEO is an asset that compounds over time. A Shopify store ranking on page one for high-intent product keywords generates traffic around the clock, without a cost-per-click. I build that organic foundation — technically sound, content-rich, and optimised for both traditional search and the growing number of AI-powered shopping queries.

Common questions
What are the most common Shopify SEO problems?
Duplicate content is the biggest one — Shopify creates multiple URLs for the same product (via different collections), and without correct canonical handling, Google sees dozens of near-identical pages. Other frequent issues: missing or incorrect product schema, slow theme JavaScript hurting Core Web Vitals, and a blog that's never been used to support commercial keyword rankings.
Can Shopify rank as well as a custom-built site?
Yes — with the right optimisations. Shopify's limitations are real but manageable. I work within the platform's constraints and know which issues can be fixed via theme edits or apps and which require creative workarounds.
Do you optimise for Google Shopping as well as organic search?
Organic search is my focus — but product schema, structured data, and correct product page optimisation benefit both organic and Shopping results. I'll flag opportunities in Google Shopping where they arise.
My store relies entirely on paid ads. Is SEO worth investing in?
That depends on your margins, product category, and time horizon. SEO takes 3–6 months to show meaningful results but then compounds indefinitely. If your ad costs are eating your margins, or you want a sustainable acquisition channel alongside ads, it's worth a serious look. I'll give you an honest assessment in the discovery call.
